Privacy Policy — Run Fun and Serious

Overview

Run Fun and Serious ("Run Fun," "the app") is a gait analysis and running coaching app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

Data Stored On Your Device Only

The following data is created and stored locally on your iPhone. It is never uploaded to our servers and never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.

• Runner profiles — name, shoe preferences, and settings • Coaching conversation summaries — text summaries of your AI coaching sessions • Apple Watch and AirPods motion data — accelerometer and gyroscope readings collected during runs • Run labels — voice-labeled gait events from coaching sessions • Shoe photos — images you take of your running shoes

Data Processed in the Cloud

When you use gait analysis features, the app sends video data to cloud servers for processing:

• Running video clips — short video clips (typically 2-7 seconds) are uploaded to Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) for temporary staging, then processed on RunPod GPU servers for biomechanical analysis and styled video rendering. • Processed videos are returned to your device and saved to your photo library. Source video clips are deleted from cloud storage after processing. • No personal information is attached to video uploads — clips are identified only by a random job ID.

Voice Coaching Data

When you use the AI coaching features, the app connects to ElevenLabs Conversational AI:

• Audio from your microphone is streamed to ElevenLabs servers during active coaching sessions for real-time voice conversation. • Conversation summaries are generated by ElevenLabs and retrieved by the app after each session. These summaries are stored locally on your device to provide continuity across coaching sessions. • ElevenLabs processes voice data according to their privacy policy: https://elevenlabs.io/privacy-policy

Health Data

With your permission, the app reads the following from Apple HealthKit:

• Resting heart rate • Heart rate variability (HRV) • Sleep analysis data

This health data is used solely to personalize coaching context (e.g., recovery readiness). Health data is never uploaded to any server. It is read from HealthKit, used within the app on your device, and included in coaching session context sent to the AI coach.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any account credentials (there are no user accounts). • We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or third-party tracking SDKs. • We do not serve ads. • We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties. • We do not build user profiles for advertising or marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services for processing:

• Amazon Web Services (S3) — Temporary video staging. Data sent: Video clips (no personal info). • RunPod — GPU video processing. Data sent: Video clips (no personal info). • ElevenLabs — Voice AI coaching. Data sent: Audio during sessions.

Data Retention

• On-device data persists until you delete the app or manually remove profiles. • Cloud video clips are deleted from AWS S3 after processing is complete (typically within minutes). • ElevenLabs retains conversation data according to their retention policy. Summaries retrieved by the app are stored locally on your device.

Your Choices

• Camera, Microphone, Health, and Motion permissions — you can grant or revoke these at any time in iOS Settings. • Delete your data — delete individual profiles within the app, or delete the app entirely to remove all local data. • Offline use — the app's on-device pose estimation works without an internet connection. Cloud processing and voice coaching require connectivity.

Children's Privacy

Run Fun is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
